Couple Remains Passionate About Wesleyan

Paul Vaughan '56 and his wife, Janet Hewitt Vaughan, of Jonesborough, Tennessee.

"West Virginia Wesleyan College will always have a warm spot in my heart, as my time there was the first step toward the responsibilities of life and its trials, tribulations and rewards. Janet and I have agreed to leave a portion of our estate as a small repayment to the college. The bequest signifies that whatever success I had was because of the patience and quality of education provided by the faculty and administration. I'm positive that thousands of Wesleyan graduates have the same feelings about their alma mater. The primary hope for tomorrow is that Wesleyan will continue to attract young people that hold the future in their hands, and that our bequest and the endowments received will allow these same young people to find their rightful place in a complicated world."
